The duelling vocals of David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes. Ritchie's wonderful guitaring. Lord's prominent organs. Paice's clockwork drumming.
This is a great modern release, showing this incarnation of the band at their finest. The recording is perfect, and highlights the fact that the much vamped Mark II line-up was not necessarily the benchmark for Deep Purple.
Rating : For those who have not been indoctrinated, this is a great way to begin to pleasure. 5/5.
